How to Install Brother Printer Drivers for Windows
  1. Disconnect your Brother machine from your computer if you already connected an interface cable.
  2. Make a temporary folder on your HDD [hard disk drive] as the location to save the downloaded self-extracting file, e.g. C:\brodnt
  3. Download the file to the temporary folder.
  4. Once downloaded, double click on the downloaded file to extract it.
  5. Click "Yes" to start the installer.
  6. Please follow the installation screen directions.

  1. The instructions may vary depending on the Windows® 7 version.
  2. You must be logged on as an Administrator.
  3. If the User Account Control dialog box appears, click Continue.
  4. If the Windows Security dialog box appears, check Always trust software from "Brother Industries, ltd.". and click Install


If the installer does not start after extracting the Full Driver & Software Packages downloaded from the "Download" section. (For Windows® 7 or later)

  1. Please follow the steps below to start the installer.
  2. Open the install folder in the temporary folder.
  3. Double click Setup.exe located in the yyy\inst folder (where yyy = language name).
  4. The installer will start. Follow the installation screen directions.


When you upgrade your Windows PC you may not communicate with your device or use some features of the installed Drivers and Software.  Uninstall and reinstall the Drivers and Software to resolve this issue.

  6. Please click here to download the Printer Driver Uninstall Tool to remove the drivers.
  7. Once downloading is completed, double click the downloaded file to extract it.
  8. Double click on "brunins.exe".
  9. Select the printer driver that you want to remove, and click on "Uninstall" button.
  10. Restart the PC.

Download the target file to your Macintosh. Once downloaded, the Installer Disk Image will be mounted on your Desktop. You will find the installer package icon "xxxxxxxx.pkg" on the desktop.

  1. If you don't find the installer package icon, please extract the downloaded file "xxxxxxxx.dmg" manually with the Macintosh "Disk Utility". The "Disk Utility " can be found in /Applications/Utilities. Using the "Disk Utility", the Installer Disk Image can be mounted.
  2. Double click the installer package icon "xxxxxxxx.pkg". Follow the instructions on the screen.
